Is the Six-Figure Design Club Worth It? (From Someone Who’s Actually Been Inside)

Before I joined the Six Figure Design Club, I did what most designers do. I watched quietly from a distance. I wanted to see if the program was actually worth the investment. I noticed a pattern that was hard to ignore. Designers who started around the same time as me were suddenly hitting ten thousand dollar months. And whenever someone asked how they did it, they all mentioned the same program: The Six Figure Design Club by Sam Crawford.

At the same time, I was building my studio and sharing new projects, so naturally I was curious. I wanted to understand what these designers were doing differently.

So I observed. I listened. I watched their wins, their struggles, their conversations, and their progress. And one day, I took the leap of faith and joined the community.

Now that I have experienced it for myself, here are my honest thoughts as someone on the inside.

Category Rating Notes
Community ★★★★★ The strongest part of the Six Figure Design Club
Business Strategy ★★★★★ Clear frameworks from Sam Crawford that actually work
Creative Skill Training ★★☆☆☆ Not a design education program
Value for Income Growth ★★★★★ Great for designers focused on earning 10k months

What the Six Figure Design Club is not

If you want to learn design skills, this is not the program.
It does not teach layout, typography, UX, or the creative parts of web design.

If your goal is to become a stronger designer creatively, something like the Standout Squarespace Program might be better suited for you.

If your goal is to improve your actual design skills, I would recommend something like the Standout Squarespace Program instead.

What the Six Figure Design Club actually is

The Six Figure Design Club is a business growth program created by Sam Crawford to help designers build profitable and sustainable design businesses. If your goal is to earn ten thousand dollars per month or more, this program gives you the knowledge, structure and community to get there.

Sam shares the exact strategies behind how he scaled from ten thousand dollar months to well over one hundred thousand dollars per month. He covers pricing, positioning, client acquisition, sales frameworks and the business decisions that truly change things for designers.

Even with all of Sam’s knowledge, the biggest value of the program is not Sam.

It is the community.

Every real review of the Sam Crawford Six Figure Design Club says the same thing:

Here are moments that shaped my experience.

A three hour chat with Christina

A simple check-in with Christina turned into a two-plus-hour conversation about business, mindset and growth. She had just hit a record month, so we naturally drifted into talking about what was working for her. She told me about potential Upwork leads she could send my way once I am ready, and she shared little Upwork secrets that most designers never talk about.

Connecting with Squarespace ex-employee Travis

Connecting with former Squarespace employee Travis happened in the most natural and unexpected way. He asked a question in the group chat, and I offered to help. That simple exchange led to him asking how he should pay me, and I jokingly told him he could pay me in chicken. So now he officially owes me one the next time I am in New York.

We are actually hopping on a call today to talk about our journeys, our work and where we both are in the design world.

Kessiah and the truth about Upwork that no one tells you

This conversation changed everything for me.

When I asked Kessiah how much she spent building her Upwork profile, she broke it down honestly. She spent more than I ever considered. And now she barely pitches anymore because clients find her organically.

That conversation helped me realise something important:
I was not failing. I simply was not investing at the level required to get the results I wanted.

Nick hitting ten thousand dollars per month

When Nick announced he hit his first ten thousand dollar month, it inspired everyone. It reminded me that success is not as far away as it feels. Sometimes you need to see someone beside you achieve the goal you want.

Dan and the power of showing your work

Dan remembered me when he received a Shopify lead because he consistently saw the work I shared in the community. A lot of those projects now live on my portfolio, and that visibility helps people understand my style and strengths.

This is one of the biggest lessons I learned:
Visibility matters.

Access to specialists like Diane

The community is full of designers and specialists who are incredibly skilled at what they do. Diane, for example, is very knowledgeable about SEO and always willing to offer direction when needed.

Learning from Nikola

I saw one of Nikola’s designs and asked him how he created it. Within a minute, he sent me a full breakdown of his process. No ego. No hesitation. Just genuine help.

A community where people actually want to see you win.

Access to Sam

What You Get What It Means for You
Access to Sam Sam answers questions the same day. He stays active in the group, offers feedback, guides you and shares strategies that work in real time. Support like that is rare and valuable.
Design Competitions A chance to push your creativity, gain visibility and get your work noticed by the community.
Website of the Month Awards Recognition for outstanding work, which boosts credibility and visibility.
Retreats and Conferences Opportunities to meet designers in person, build friendships and expand your network.
Visibility Opportunities Greater visibility inside the community increases your chances of being noticed and added to curated lists, designer directories and showcases. Many designers featured on lists like “Top Squarespace Designers” are not only talented but visible. The community helps make that possible.
Recognition A community that celebrates your wins, improvements and milestones publicly. Visibility grows when people acknowledge your work.
Why Visibility Matters Many skilled designers remain unknown simply because their work is not seen. Community amplifies your presence and leads to opportunities you may not access alone.

What Most People Don't Tell You

Beyond the program content, connection does not happen automatically. You have to show your work. You have to speak up. You have to help people when you can.

That is what made Dan think of me first when he had a Shopify lead. That is what made people connect with me.

I earned three recognitions in six months not because I was chasing attention, but because I submitted quality work and participated. Some of those pieces are now on my award-winning projects, and they continue to attract clients.

This is how connection is built, not by staying silent but by offering value.
When I figured out how to set up Google My Business for service-based businesses, I shared it in the chat because others were struggling with it.

If you join the community and never speak, never share, never show your work, no one will know you. And this program works best for people who are willing to participate.

Reality check:

Instant ROI is not guaranteed. The Six Figure Design Club will not magically make you money or clients appear out of nowhere.

The people who get results are the ones who go the extra mile. They put in the work, they pitch and they implement what Sam teaches.

So, is the Six Figure Design Club worth it?

For designers who want to improve their creative skills, no. It is not the right program.
For designers who want to scale their income, yes. Absolutely yes.

I recommend it with my whole chest, and I honestly believe that the sooner you join, the better. The community, the knowledge and the network all compound over time.

It feels like going to school and meeting lifelong friends who happen to be your competitors but also your biggest cheerleaders.
